Do you have a great idea but need an organization to make it happen? Does your volunteer group want to become a nonprofit? Explore the pros and cons of developing a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation with two experienced professionals and plan your next steps in this 2 hour workshop.  Light supper at 5:30. Program begins at 6:00 PM. Free for Neighborhood Grants Program grantees; $15 for all others.

El taller se presentará en español.  Favor de indicar si habla únicamente  inglésantes del segundo de diciembre, para ayudarnos facilitar la comunicación entre participantes.

¿Su grupo voluntario quiere incorporarse como una organización sin fines de lucro? ¿Tienes una buena idea pero necesitas una organización para realizarlo? Explore las ventajas y desventajas de formar una corporación sin fines de lucro con dos profesionales experimentados y planee tus propios pasos en este taller de dos horas.  Incluye una cena a 5:30 y el taller a 6:00.

Incoporating as a Nonprofit, or Not? will be led by Aurelio Salazar, Jr, Program Officer of the Neighborhood Grants Program, and Kaki Rusmore, Director of Organizational Leadership and Development at the Community Foundation for Monterey County.  

Together they bring decades of experience working with community groups, nonprofits, and government organizations in the U.S. and Latin America.
